Upstate Elevator Supply Co. CBD Capsules Review by Leah Johnson at CBD Origin
Elevate your state of mind with this CBD capsules from Upstate Elevator Supply Co.! Located in Burlington, Vermont, these incredibly unique capsules come not only chock full of CBD, but CBG and CBDA as well! We’ll go over exactly what all that means in the following review, but just know that these organic capsules fall into only one of the seven different categories that Upstate Elevator Supply Co. offers. Let’s check out the product now and see why this product could be the next best thing in your health routine!
Quality
As stated in the introduction, these capsules are unique because they contain CBD, CBG, and CBDA. You may be very familiar with what CBD (cannabinoid) is and how its useful properties have made it a favorite for users with anxiety, depression, PTSD, aches and pains in joints, and so much more. However, there is much more to the hemp flower than just CBD and its psychoactive counterpart THC.
CBG, short for Cannabigerol, is considered a minor cannabinoid. It is present in less than 1% of most cannabis strains, but has tremendous health benefits: helps inhibit muscle contractions, and stimulates appetites.
CBDA, short for cannabidiolic acid, is CBD’s more acidic and “raw” form of CBD and is often found in fresh hemp flowers. CBDA has a very specific process of derivation known as decarboxylation. Only after heating raw hemp can we start the decarboxylation process, making it difficult yet rewarding to obtain. CBDA is also believed to be more bioavailable (easy for the body to absorb) than CBD. The fact that these capsules contain all three of these forms of CBD makes it a powerful product that you’ll want to keep handy. Lab Testing
The company uses an independent third party ISO/IEC17025 accredited lab to test all their products for quality, potency, and consistency. You can find the results of these lab tests on their website, located conveniently on the website menu tab marked “Lab Analysis.” Each of the raw hemp ingredients is thoroughly tested and inspected for pesticides, mycotoxins, any contaminants (both bacterial and fungal), and heavy metals to ensure that each batch is safe for use.
Organic Full Spectrum CBD Capsules
I unscrewed the silver cap and tore off the protective seal. I peered inside the bottle and saw that instead of the usual gel capsules, these are actually regular capsules. The tinted clear capsules had liquid sloshing around in them, so that made sense why these need to be refrigerated after opening. I fished one of the capsules out and noticed that all of the capsules had an oily residue on them, perhaps from one of the capsules getting loose and leaking the oil into the other capsules. The individual capsule didn’t have a smell, but once I stuck my nose inside the glass bottle opening, I could smell the familiar scent of hemp. Out of curiosity, I squeezed the capsule and felt the capsule start to loosen so I quickly pushed the two sides back together to prevent the liquid from spilling out and making a mess on my desk. A word of caution: these pills are fairly large, so be aware if you have trouble swallowing pills that are larger than your fingernail. I find that a large swig of water, tilting your head back, and shaking your head helps make taking pills a lot easier, but choose whatever method works for you! I will admit I was a bit nervous to take this pill but using the method I just described made it a lot easier. The capsule on my tongue had the faintest taste of hemp, but there was no aftertaste or discomfort. I took a few more sips of water to make sure the pill was able to safely reach my stomach and that was it!
These capsules are listed on the company website for $44.99 and come with 30 capsules. Normally, that would mean a 30-day supply, but the company recommends that you take one capsule every 4-6 hours or as directed by a healthcare provider. One unique thing I noticed about these capsules is that they need to be refrigerated after opening. If you’ve ever seen or used probiotics, they’re usually stored in a small refrigerator (I’ve seen them at Whole Foods) and have a recommended shelf life after opening.
Company Information
The company’s website is https://www.upstateelevator.com. Their site is simple, clean, and comes with quite a bit of useful information for new and experienced CBD users alike. A popup window offers a 20% discount if you sign up for their mailing list, an enticing offer if you’ve got your eye on any particular CBD product. Towards the bottom of the site, you can view all of the site’s certifications for their products: Vermont Certified Organic, USDA Organic, GMP Certified, and several others. The site offers a wholesale option and a blog titled “Education” for those looking to enrich their minds with articles about CBD.
Would I recommend Upstate Elevator Supply Co. CBD to others?
Overall, this was a very unique product to try. I loved all of the benefits this product had to offer and the fact that it was vegan, organic, and made in the US made me love it even more. The inclusion of CBG, CBD, and CBDA made me want to use this product on a regular basis because of all the health benefits (check out those links above to read more about those health benefits). But there were a few drawbacks: the capsules are quite large, which may present a problem for people who have trouble swallowing large pills. Also, taking a capsule every 4-6 hours may pose a problem for some people unless you have a strict discipline and can manage your time effectively. I would suggest adding it to your daily mealtimes, as most people eat every 4-6 hours anyway. And lastly, the requirement of storing these capsules in the fridge after opening might be an inconvenience unless you work from home or your job has a refrigerator you can access every 4-6 hours. I truly loved the product, but I can see why some people may be reluctant to use it without dutifully incorporating it into their daily routine.
I highly recommend CBD users of all levels to check out Upstate Elevator Co. and see why this company is one of the best CBD manufacturers on the market.
